Last Family Session of 2020

A magical way to end my year: spending an afternoon with these lovely parents and their three-month old cutie.

This babe was total bliss and super easy to work with. Calm and engaged; he would start to complain and one cuddle from mom or dad did the trick. I wish all sessions were as easy as this! On second thought, I also wish my daughter had been that easy as a little baby.

Parents often worry about their babies reacting during a session, and I always tell them not to stress about it. The baby will always dictate my pace, and my job is to follow their lead. If the baby is crying, then it’s time for mom and dad to step in while I document sweet cuddles, kisses, and, why not, maybe a cute angry face. Once the baby calms down then we can try some other posses and settings. But, more often than not, it is these “real life” moments that lead to the best photos…
