Photos in the Playground are Always a Good Idea

When this family reached out to me about photographing their daughter at their neighborhood playground, I knew I was all in. This seemed like an incredible idea and a great way to “freeze” some images of the playfulness of childhood and the moments spent together, but the results were far better than I had anticipated.

Instead of worrying that the child would be “distracted” by the playground, which happens when I do sessions at some of the local parks, we instead embraced it and let this sweet little kid dictate where she wanted to go and what she wanted to do. No tears, lots of smiles and giggles, and some very cute images - my favorite may be of the daughter pushing the mom in the swing.
