Holiday Mini Sessions 2021
Happy New Year! I hope everyone is well-rested, and full of optimism, energy, and dreams for 2022.
I’m back from vacation and jumping into this year by catching up with many blog posts that have been neglected due to the businesses of Fall season.
And what better place to start than the Holiday Mini sessions? Look at these happy kids!
The theme for 2021 was “Being Present” and the set was decorated with many gifts wrapped in white and decorated with beautiful ribbons. I wanted to keep the set minimal, with simple and neutral colors that allow families to either make their sessions formal or causal, depending on what they want to wear – from holiday pajamas, to fancy dresses, little boy suits, cozy sweaters, and even traditional heritage clothing.
Whenever I put together a set for kids I like to I keep it versatile and functional. The idea behind the wrapped presents was to give the kiddos a chance to play with them, stack them, hold them up, gift to each other, pretend-fight over them, throw in the air... It gives them something to do with their hands so there is no awkward posing, while encouraging fun and laughter for great, joyful shots.
Last thing about this event – it was held in partnership with Grins on Green Bay, and amazing pediatric dentist in Kennilworth that is very much investment in the community and supporting other small businesses. Thanks to them for hosting me, and thank you to all the wonderful families that came. I hope you all had a lovely holiday season.
